Abu Dhabi Housing Authority Established

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in his capacity as Ruler of Abu Dhabi has issued a law establishing the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority.

According to the law, the new body, which reports to the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, will have an independent, legal, administrative and financial character to deliver its objectives which was set for.
His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said :” Our focus on provision of housing and decent life to citizens has never been a gradual process , rather it’s a sustainable strategy based on achievements and progression of implementation mechanisms so as to reach the aspired target, which is to secure living standards to citizens in tandem with the UAE’s prominent regional and international standing.” ” We have mobilised huge potentials and pumped tremendous investment into housing projects for citizens with the aim of creating a fertile ground to develop our community and ensure that its members benefit from development the country is currently witnessing in delivery of qualitative housing that keeps pace with the civilisational and urban progress. We believe that these housing initiatives will help build a prosperous future for the generations to come” added Sheikh Mohammed, who is also Chairman of Executive Council of Abu Dhabi.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and Deputy Chairman of Executive Council of Abu Dhabi, said the President’s law underscores his sincere desire to do whatever he could to provide citizens with decent living standards, a key goal of all strategies seeking to engage citizens in the nation-building.

Sheikh Hazza, who was appointed chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, hailed the new body as a vital initiative aimed to create an inclusive data base of applicants whether for loans, plots or low-cost houses. That data base, he added, will make review of applications and decision-making more easier and flexible.

The move, he noted, reflects the leadership’s commitment to well-being and welfare of citizens and to ensure promising future for their children.
