North America 4 Emirates flights EK 201 and EK 202 due to depart to/from New York’s JFK airport on October 29, 2012 have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions in the eastern part of the United States.

Emirates apologises for any inconvenience caused to its customers, however the safety of our passengers and crew is of the highest priority and will not be compromised.

Passengers holding tickets to/from New York are advised to contact their local Emirates office and check the status of their flight below, where information is updated every five minutes.

New York Rebooking and Cancellation Terms & Conditions

Due to adverse weather conditions in the eastern part of the United States, the following options may be offered to Emirates passengers who have purchased tickets on/before 28 October 12 to travel to/from NYC and who now wish to alter their travel plans:

Rebooking and re-issue charges shall be waived for passengers ticketed to travel during 29TH – 31st October 2012, inclusive.

Rebooking shall be made onto an available flight to the same destination for travel within a 07 day period after the scheduled departure time of the original flight and in the same booking class. This will be at no additional cost to the passenger and if required, the validity of the ticket may be extended.

Rebooking shall also be permitted for the return journey within a 07 day period after the original flight date and in the same booking class and at no additional cost to the passenger. If required the validity of the ticket may be extended.
Re-routing/endorsement to Other Airlines is not permitted.

The options as outlined above are; however, not available to passengers travelling on tickets issued as a part of an inclusive tour by a tour operator or travel agent. Such passengers should be requested to contact their respective tour operator or travel agent for reissue or cancellation.

As this unforeseen event in New York is beyond the control of Emirates and is therefore considered to be an extraordinary circumstance, Emirates is not liable. Passengers are invited to contact their travel insurers. For additional information about these limitations, please see our Conditions of Carriage, where applicable.
