This year’s festival records almost 65% increase compared with last year’s figures

Thousands of visitors captivated by world-class performance

‘Street Festival’ on The Promenade at Dubai Marina Mall contributes to making the Marina a leading lifestyle and leisure destination

The second Dubai Marina Street Festival was a spectacular success, featuring over 30 world-class artists, offering more than 250 performances and captivating thousands of visitors from March 22 to 31, 2012.

Dubai Marina Mall, the definitive lifestyle and leisure destination in Dubai Marina and New Dubai, recorded an impressive growth of almost 65 percent in visitor traffic for the duration of the festival, compared with the figures recorded last year.

Entirely free to the public, the 10-day event left visitors amazed by the breathtaking performances of the stuntmen, gymnasts, divas, comedians and illusionists.

More than 30 of the world’s best street artists offered an amazing variety of performances including juggling, hula-hoops, unicycles stunts, slack rope walking, fire breathing, bucket drumming, heart-stopping acrobatics, rubber band tricks and even Heavy Metal magic shows.

Nasser Rafi, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Malls Group, said: “We are very pleased with the community’s response to the second edition of the Street Festival, which highlights our commitment to bring innovative lifestyle experiences to our visitors. Thousands of visitors gathered on The Promenade at Dubai Marina to enjoy the performances by street artists hand-picked from around the world.”

Dubai Marina Mall currently has over 140 retail outlets. The mall provides an exciting mix of tenants including a supermarket, fashion wear, accessories, jewellers, boutiques, book & toy shops and children entertainment, in addition to a food court and the 6-screen premium Reel Cinemas.
