Saudi visitors make up 46.6 percent of total GCC visitors to Dubai

Saudi visitors make up 46.6 percent of total GCC visitors to Dubai, making them the largest number of Arab visitors to the emirate, the Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DCTM) said over the weekend.

In the first three quarters of 2010 alone, 384,730 Saudi visitors visited Dubai, it said.

In terms of region, GCC visitors to Dubai have been on the rise, as they get to enjoy major attractions without traveling abroad. Last year, Dubai hotels witnessed a 20 percent increase in the number of GCC visitors during the first six months of 2010, compared to the same period in 2009, Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DCTM) data showed.
