Talk more with Etisalat’s Wasel prepaid and get rewarded with higher free credit each time; receive up to 40% back

Sharing the joy of Eid Al Adha, Etisalat today announced a special free credit back offer for its Wasel prepaid customers starting from 15 November 2010, for a duration of three months. The value-packed offer rewards customers for simply making calls and gives back a higher value of extra credit each time they talk from their Wasel prepaid accounts. As part of the new promotion, customers can get back a total of up to AED 240.

Every Wasel customer who makes local or international phone calls any time during the entire day is eligible for the offer. Depending on the usage, customers can avail up to 40% of the used talk time, the bonus value is then credited back into their accounts. The bonus credit will be immediately credited into the customer account every time the customer crosses the set usage limits, within a month. Customer usage is calculated on a monthly basis every, 30 days starting from the 1st day of the promotion. The free credit can be used for making both, local as well as international voice calls and for sending text messages within the validity period.

Announcing the new initiative, Khalifa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Etisalat said: “Etisalat’s customer centricity has always been our guideline in developing and introducing services and promotions that offer exciting propositions and value to our customers. Our new Wasel promotion comes at a special occasion, Eid Al Adha, which is a time of celebrations. We see the new offer as the perfect way to let our customers share their joy and get rewarded for simply staying more in touch with their friends, family or work. Soon, we will extend the promotion in the benefit of our postpaid customers too.”

Wasel prepaid customers can opt in by simply sending an SMS with the character U to 1010, and join the promotion without any monthly rental or connection fee. For the ease of the customer, Etisalat will notify customers via SMS every time they receive their bonus credit. In addition, customers can check their free talk time balance by simply calling *121*2#. Also customers can check their accumulated usage by simply calling *144*4#.
