Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) enters Kenya Oil Market
The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) appointed leading oil marketing company Galana Oil as the sole distributor of range of lubricants, engine oils and other specialized products. Galana Oil Managing Director George Kahira describes the move as a major development for the company, which is keen to pursue business growth and revenue streams through new products.
The Kenyan company has dedicated Lubricants Business Unit and has also partnered with Courier companies for overnight deliveries countrywide. In order to enhance its distribution capacity, Galana Oil Kenya plans to invest in 13 Service Stations in the future. The country’s oil industry has changed with the departure of major multinational companies like Caltex, Shell and BP , giving local companies opportunity to deliver products and services.
Galana Oil was established ten years ago to import, distribute and market petroleum products in East and Central Africa. It trades under the Delta brand name (under licence from Delta Oil USA) and has acquired significant foothold in Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and Tanzania.
