Nissan announced today that it would recall 21,675 vehicles in the UAE, part of nearly 540,000 vehicles recalled worldwide, due to brake pedal defects and faulty fuel gauges, reported Al Khaleej Times.
Japan’s third-largest carmaker issued voluntary recalls on selected vehicles to check brake pins and correct fuel gauge inaccuracies, according to a statement issued by Nissan Middle East.
Beginning in March, Nissan will notify customers with potentially affected vehicles. Repairs for incorrect brake pedal pins and correction of fuel gauge inaccuracies will begin immediately. The inventory of replacement parts for the fuel gauge recalls is being stocked and will require some time to reach full volume. We have put measures in place to support customer convenience while all vehicles are repaired. Nissan’s regional call center has been briefed and is prepared to advise our customers.
