Emirates Arthritis Foundation offers yoga in January

  • General Introduction to Yoga – Every Monday at 5.15pm at the Dubai Festival City,  AED 40 per session;
  • Yoga for Arthritis – Every Wednesday at 7pm at The Qamardeen Hotel – AED 60 per session including juice and a light snack;
  • 25% of the class fee goes directly to the Emirates Arthritis Foundation;
  • Yoga classes will be led by Dr. Vishwas Chhabra who is considered a specialist in this field.

Further to the success of the Monday Charity Yoga sessions with the Emirates Arthritis Foundation throughout 2009, as led by Dr. Vishwas Chhabra, these popular classes have been expanded upon with two locations in Dubai; Dubai Festival City helipad every Monday and The Qamardeen Hotel every Wednesday throughout January.

Both classes have a charge, of which 25% of this cost will go directly to EAF charity.

Vishwas Chhabra, the yoga teacher instructor, holds qualifications in Ayurveda and Yoga and Naturopathy, as well as carrying out extensive research in various diseases elements like Depression, Rheumatoid Arthritis and presented a number of research findings at various International conferences.

What is the Emirates Arthritis Foundation?

The Emirates Arthritis Foundation strives to breathe life into leading ideas on health, hope and happiness, and to raise awareness about the rigours of arthritis.

This year The Emirates Foundation, Abu Dhabi, awarded EAF a research grant of AED 250,000.00 to assist with a study of rheumatoid arthritis patients of Arab ancestry. The research will provide a nationwide database of rheumatoid arthritis patients and will help to ascertain the need for financial support, disability and workplace assistance.

EAF is a non-profit organisation that contributes to the welfare of the entire region by providing an extensive range of events and programs to support arthritis patients. In addition, our regional outreach initiatives comprise of a variety of recreational programmes, drawing upon support from the healthcare community.
