NEC Display Solutions Announces New Series of High-end Desktop LCDs

Green Productivity with Professional Performance

NEC Display Solutions has launched its new PA series LCDs for the start of 2010. The PA series displays, featuring high performance IPS technology, are designed to meet the most demanding professional imaging applications. Consistent with NEC’s Green Vision, the PA series employs an innovative design for particularly eco-friendly manufacturing and logistics, as well as offering transparent carbon reporting. The first upcoming model has already been awarded with the renowned iF product design award for 2010.

For years, NEC Display Solutions has insisted on using IPS* technology when designing high-end monitors. This technology offers the highest viewing angle stability of all LCD technologies and also guarantees optimum colour consistency. The PA series, announced for the start of 2010, continues to showcase IPS performance, as well as offering further technical highlights  such as 3D-LUT** for maximum colour control, 10-bit panels for more colour fidelity, Picture in Picture function, integrated USB hub and the future-proof DisplayPort interface.

The PA series also cuts a fine figure with its innovative design – both in terms of appearance and eco-friendliness. The ultra-narrow display frame creates an appealingly clean and minimalist look and makes the models a real eye-catcher on any workstation. The optimised stand offers maximum stability and also facilitates significantly reduced packaging. This reduces production resources as well as cabinet and packaging material and allows more units to be shipped with the same transport capacity. Rewarding these innovations the International Forum Design experts awarded the first LC display from this series NEC will launch in January with the iF product design award 2010.

“The models in the PA series set the new reference for the professional desktop sector, in both technology and design,” said Ian Gobey, the General Manager of NEC Display Solutions, Middle East. “Our customers have always demanded high-end IPS technology and our NEC engineers are always delighted in meeting the challenge and fulfilling their requirements and more.”
