Live SMS auction this weekend at The Dubai Mall
1. Bid 2 Win auction to be held from 10am to 9pm on Friday and Saturday

The innovative Bid 2 Win auction, being held as part of the Festival@The Dubai Mall, will showcase Jumbo Mobility Unwired Package on Friday and a Philips LCD TV and Home Theatre Package on Saturday for live SMS bidding starting at only AED 1.
On May 15, visitors to the mall can bid for a Jumbo Mobility Unwired Package including Vaio Laptop (VGN-TT16), Linksys Router (WAG160N), HP Color printer (OJ7780), Wireless Headset (CLEARCHAT PC WIRELESS), and Blackberry phone (BB8900), priced at AED 12,178, courtesy of Jumbo Electronics. On Saturday, the bidding is for a Philips 52†LCD TV (52PFL5403) and Philips Home Theatre (HTS 8140), priced at AED 12,298, courtesy of Sharaf DG.
The SMS bidding starts at 10am and will continue till 9pm. The start price of the bid is AED 1. The highest bidder at 9pm can claim the product on paying the bid price.
To participate in Bid 2 Win, visitors to the mall only have to SMS the product code of the item on display at the mall to Etisalat 4643. They must first register to participate in the auction at the same number. Participants are informed of the status of their bid in real-time, and live updates of the auction are displayed on the multimedia screens.
During the first two weeks of the festival, an Apple Combo, Bose Lifestyle Home Entertainment System, Panasonic 58″ Full HD Plasma TV, and an Infinity Cascade and Home Theatre Package were auctioned with the highest bidders getting the products at below retail price.
In addition to Bid 2 Win, the mall also offers a ‘Win Millions’ raffle, a Grand Bentley raffle with only 5,000 tickets priced at AED 200 each going into the draw and mall-wide entertainment.
