Local jobs for Local people – Emiratisation
Tens of thousands of ex-pats have been laid off in the UAE and around the rest of the Gulf. But a new law in the UAE makes it almost impossible to fire Emirati nationals. At the moment, locals make up only 2 percent of the private sector workforce in their own country. So this may be their best opportunity of grabbing a bigger stake in it. But will they rise to the challenge?
