The Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority (RAK FTZ) and New Horizons have signed an agreement to deliver e-Learning solution to employees and clients of the free zone. The training process will be administered through the RAK FTZ’s INJAZ Training Centre in cooperation with New Horizons Computer Learning Center.

The new e-Learning initiative, launched by Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ), will offer an array of training and capacity-building resources to provide targeted training that will meet the diverse needs of the RAK FTZ employees, clients and the RAK community.

Oussama El Omari, CEO and Director General of RAK FTZ, welcomed the initiative by saying, “Technology supported learning offers tremendous potential for those who are seeking to enhance their development needs.” He added, “The e-Learning initiative’s aim is to create an environment that empowers and gives freedom for employees to learn new skills at their own pace.”

New Horizons have set up for the RAK FTZ over 3000 learning modules to choose from – whether it is a job-related or leadership skills or a new foreign language using Auralog’s “Tell Me More” solution.  The set up will also provide a detailed report to monitor the progress of each person using the online courses.

“In the current climate of economic slowdown, it is great to see RAK FTZ Management realising the value of Human Assets and investing in this effective and efficient methodology learning solution. Learning “Anytime Anywhere” gives learners great flexibility and allows them to be in total control of their individual training plans. New Horizons is proud to be partnering with RAKFTZ and we look forward to working together,” said Mohammed Aslam, Country General Manager of New Horizons.

By implementing the technology supported learning, the initiative will help RAK FTZ to eliminate duplication of traditional training activities, reduce costs, and meet a wider number of their employees’ training needs.  RAK FTZ clients can enquire about the e-Learning courses from Injaz Training Centre or email injaz@rakftz.com.
