Naturalization and Residency eServices through Internet

Under the guidelines of LT. General H.H. Sheikh Saif Ben Zayad Al Nahyan Interior Minister on the importance of improving the services that MOI provide through internet and improve ways of electronically complete customers’ transactions. And as a part of the agreement signed with DATEL to provide comprehensive eServices through internet.

Brigadier Matar Salem Al Neyady hesd of IT department in MOI and the head of the project follow up committee announced that the project aims to complete naturalization and residency transactions through  MOI website and provide several services to the users such as:

  • Inquiry through internet.
  • emails
  • Inquiring through Kiosk
  • SMS
  • IVR
  • Auto fax
  • Call centers working 24/7

Brigadier added that it is agreed to appoint 150 locals to work in call centre, customer service, completing transactions and other position to achieve the objective of building qualified local work force to work in this kind of technical projects. He said that 2 call centers were prepared in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain and local candidates were appointed and trained to work in them. Group of technical and administrative teams were formed to follow up implementing of tasks. These teams including call centre team, customer service team, eForm team and financial & administrative team.

Brigadier talked about the importance of implementing the first phase of the project in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in the beginning of November as scheduled. This phase will include issuing eForms through the website. The whole project will be completed through the first quarter of 2007, and will be implementing in the whole country and its embassies by the end of the first half of the same year.

The Integrated eServices project will help in completing the transactions safely,  quickly and will save customers money, time and effort enhancing the image of the UAE.

Brigadier Matar said that the user will be able to electronically fill in the forms, pay fees through internet, inquire and receive notes through internet and call centers in addition to connect UAE embassies with this system through internet.
